Ciklo - Eco-Friendly, Canadian-Made Pens

ciklo is the first pen designed, sourced and manufactured in Quebec from recycled plastic that is recyclable.

Its local manufacture reduces GHG emissions by 99% compared to a pen made in Asia The pen shell is made from post-consumer recycled polypropylene (PP). This reduces the environmental impact of the raw material by 40% compared to a pen made from recycled plastic bottles (PET).

The reinvented design reduces the number of parts from eight to four thanks to its monomaterial composition and its cap. All this promotes its recycling. The Schmidt gel ink cartridge offers greater performance than traditional pens by 1.5 times more meters of writing.

The ciklo was put into the hands of nine local businesses, including two social reintegration businesses, a cooperative, a women-owned business, a family business and a certified B Corp company.
